Over looking the 15th green and the 16th tee of the ‘Campo de Golf Villamartin’ the apartment is ideally placed for the short drive to the neighbouring courses of ‘Real Club de Golf Campoamor’ and ‘Club de Golf Ramblas de Orihuela’.
Each course offers different challenges; ‘Villamartin‘ requires careful shot placement but sometimes can be forgiving, ‘Campoamor’ is lush with outstanding views and if playing ‘Las Ramblas’, it is advisable to take a bucket of balls as the tight tree laden fairways and ravine ‘roughs’ can make this a potential nightmare for even those with the lowest of handicaps.
All the equipment can be rented, from golf clubs to buggies (Handicap cards required if hiring). The busier times for golf stretch from the end of september to mid July. It is advisable to consider pre-booking tee times in advance and prior to arrival in spain to avoid disappointment during the first few days of your vacation.
The Villamartin course is joined with the Villamartin Social Club, which offers tennis courts, a large swimming pool with childrens pool set in beautiful gardens, there is a large indoor restaurant and waiter service on the terrace service for eating al-fresco. Regular evenings of live caberet are also featured. Further afield are golf courses at Guardamar, La Marquesa and three at the internationally renowned La Manga.
The major airport for the region is Alicante, which receives flights from all the major and most regional airports within the United Kingdom. Alicante is approximately 60 kms from Villamartin and usually takes a drive of about 45 to 60 minutes dependant on traffic conditions. However you can now fly to MURCIA, which is just a ten minute drive along the motorway.
Car hire is inexpensive. For example a Citroen Saxo from £96.00 pw, a Seat Arosa (with A/C) from £108.00 pw. Full advice with regard to flight and car rentals prices can be offered with details of recommended contact numbers to make these arrangements go smoothly.
Other facilities on the complex include tennis courts, golf driving range, mini
ten-pin bowling and arcade games at the Bar Bowlingo, three banks, medical facilities, shops boutiques and numerous restaurants and bars to cater for all tastes in the beautiful square as well as the splendid Villamartin social club which offers indoor or al fresco meals and social events in the large gardens inhabited by exotic birds and a 25 yard swimming pool with also contains child area. The climate is a dry one with 340 days of sunshine and an average temperature of 18 degrees centigrade.
Bookings are reserved when a deposit of £50 for each required week is received. The deposit is non-refundable.The remaining balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before the date of arrival (Late booking excepted). On departure day the premises should be vacated by 11am unless otherwise agreed. All essential domestic appliances are supplied i.e. iron, hairdryer as well as a large fridge/freezer a microwave oven and SKY TV.
